My Teaching Philosophy

My teaching activities involve the use of resources that provide tailored differentiated tasks that motivate students particularly those with special educational needs. I believe that my students learn best when they feel comfortable with the adult they are working with. I place key importance in developing a positive relationship with the pupil. I find creative ways of linking learning objectives to the pupil's likes so that they get to learn through a variety of learning style e.g visual, kinaesthetic, auditory.

I regularly use exam questions (if working towards examinations) to help pupils gain confidence in tackling these types of questions and test their knowledge in specific subject areas we have worked on. I make the task challenging but achievable and have a fantastic skill set to help students understand how to approach exam questions at KS3 and GCSE level.

Something Sensational About Me

I  am a level 3 practitioner in mindfulness and meditation, I practice this daily. I have taught many of my students these vital skills to help them be able to be more mentally resilient and deal with stresses of daily life better. I found it increases one's confidence and encourages clear thinking and emotional regulation.

I have swam with the dolphins in their natural environment and I love snorkeling. I like to travel and experience new adventures.
