I have specialist training in Special Needs Education and a postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education, with extensive experience supporting children and young people with physical disabilities, complex learning needs, and communication difficulties. My expertise includes working with learners across a wide range of abilities, from those accessing age-related learning to those requiring highly personalised approaches and support through Pre-Key Stage Standards.

I have 13 years of experience supporting children and young people with complex SEND profiles across Early Years, Primary and Secondary settings, delivering personalised, inclusive learning tailored to individual strengths and needs.

I have planned, delivered and assessed differentiated learning programmes, adapting teaching to enable every learner to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. I have extensive experience supporting verbal and non-verbal learners, using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to promote communication, independence and engagement.

I have particular expertise in Conductive Education, supporting learners with cerebral palsy and complex physical disabilities through integrated educational and motor learning approaches that promote functional independence, communication and participation.

My career began as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) before progressing to a qualified teaching role, providing me with a strong foundation in collaborative, child-centred practice. I work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Speech and Language Therapists, Conductors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals, to deliver holistic, child-centred support for learners with complex needs

Since 2020, I have worked as a Specialist SEND Home Educator, providing personalised education for learners with complex SEND profiles, including cerebral palsy, PMLD and complex physical disabilities. I design and deliver individualised learning programmes, adapting teaching strategies, resources and environments to meet each learner's unique strengths, needs and educational goals. My approach incorporates multi-sensory learning, AAC, and Conductive Education principles, enabling learners to access meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

I work in close partnership with families and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to support each learner's educational, physical and developmental progress. I have extensive experience supporting learners with mobility needs, personal care, gastrostomy feeding, epilepsy and medication administration, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and full participation in learning both at home and within the community.
