About Me
Skills & Experience
I’ve spent fifteen years working closely with children, young people, and families in roles such as SENDCo, Assistant Principal, and Vice Principal for Safeguarding, Culture and Inclusion. Throughout my career, I’ve supported learners with a wide range of needs, making sure they feel safe, understood, and able to achieve their best. I’ve led whole-school approaches to behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing, and I’ve worked closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the right support at the right time. My experience means I understand both the challenges families face and the difference the right guidance and tailored support can make.

My Teaching Philosophy
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a simple belief: every child can thrive when they feel understood, supported, and valued. I recognise that children learn in different ways and at different paces, so I focus on creating personalised approaches that build on their strengths, reduce barriers, and grow their confidence over time.
I believe that learning should feel safe, calm, and encouraging — especially for children with additional needs. By combining evidence-informed strategies with a nurturing, trauma-aware approach, I aim to help children experience success, develop resilience, and rediscover their love of learning.
Relationships sit at the centre of my practice. I work closely with families and professionals to ensure each child receives joined-up support that reflects their whole story, not just their academic needs. My goal is always to create an environment where children feel empowered, capable, and proud of their progress — both in school and beyond.

Something Sensational About Me
Something special about me is my ability to combine deep professional expertise with a genuinely compassionate, child-centred approach. I bring years of senior leadership experience in SEND, safeguarding, and inclusion, but the heart of my work has always been helping children feel safe, understood, and capable. Parents often tell me that I see the things others miss — the small signs, the unique strengths, the hidden worries — and that I help their children feel confident in a way they haven’t experienced before. I believe every child deserves someone who truly champions them, and that’s the commitment I bring to every family I support.
