SENsational Tutors Limited (“SENsational Tutors”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in England and Wales, registration number 10749192, with our registered office at 8 Main Street, Bilton, Rugby, England, CV22 7NB. We are committed to protecting your privacy and meeting our legal obligations when you apply for a job or share employment details with us, directly or through an agent.

This privacy notice explains what Personal Data we collect and use relating to employment candidates (“you”, “your”) during the recruitment process.

We prioritize the quality, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data, using technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

We update this notice periodically in response to changes in laws, regulations, processing practices, or our products and services, updating the date at the top accordingly.

What Personal Data Do We Process?

Personal Data is information identifying an individual, excluding anonymized data. Special category Personal Data, which is more sensitive, requires higher protection.

When you apply for a position (employee, worker, consultant, contractor, or intern), submit a CV, or attend an interview (in-person or remote), we collect Personal Data, including but not limited to:

  • Name and contact details (address, mobile phone number, email address)
  • Company details (where applicable)
  • Date of birth and gender
  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  • Work history and employment positions held
  • Salary, other compensation, and benefits information
  • Nationality/visa/right to work information (where applicable)
  • Academic and professional qualifications, education, and skills
  • Proof of identification (e.g., driving license, passport)
  • Photographs submitted with your application
  • Demographic information
  • Records created during interviews or correspondence
  • Results of pre-employment screening checks (e.g., references, enhanced DBS checks)
  • Any other information you provide

We may collect special category data per the Equality Act 2010, such as medical information, to make reasonable adjustments for applications, interviews, or employment, ensuring compliance with legal obligations.

Purposes and Bases for Using Your Personal Data

We process your Personal Data for the following purposes and lawful bases:

Sensitive Personal Data

We process special category Personal Data (e.g., health or disability status) to assess fitness to work, only when meeting legal conditions, such as employment law obligations or, rarely, with explicit consent.

Sharing Your Information

We may share your Personal Data with service providers and suppliers acting as Processors, who use it only per our instructions under written contracts. Your data is shared internally only with HR consultants, hiring managers, and IT staff as needed.

Your Personal Data is not processed outside the UK. If required, we ensure equivalent protection through adequacy regulations or an International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) with supplementary measures.

How Long Will We Retain Your Information?

We retain your Personal Data only as long as necessary for recruitment. If successful, your data is processed per our employee privacy notice. If unsuccessful, we retain your CV, application, and interview notes for 6 months from notification to inform you of future vacancies, unless you request deletion earlier. We may retain data longer for legal obligations or claims, though this is rare.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

  • Rectify incorrect or incomplete data
  • Withdraw consent for specific processing
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Restrict processing, request a machine-readable copy, or request erasure in certain circumstances
