I am a qualified teacher with experience working with SEND students. I have a strong record of improving outcomes for children and young adults. Having worked as a Nurture teacher in an independent SEN school for students with EHC plans, I specialize in supporting students with special educational needs and adverse childhood experiences. I bring many years of experience in identifying needs and creating engaging tailored educational curricula. Building confidence and removing barriers against personal growth are what I am most passionate about. This is done by building professional trusted relationships and making sure that every student feels seen, valued and understood.

About Me
Skills & Experience
I have been a qualified teacher for 15 years, specialising in working with students with special educational needs. My background is in Maths and Science, which I have taught both in mainstream secondary schools and in independent SEN schools. From the beginning of my career, my passion has been to understand how to best support personal growth and confidence in the learner. I have worked closely with students, SENCo’s, clinical teams, parents and careers to create the best possible outcome for the learner. My experience means that I understand both the challenges that families face, the impact special educational needs can have on the individual and what difference the right approach can make.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe we all carry an inner potential to become the best version of ourselves. We all experience challenges of different varieties as well, which with the right support can help us to grow and progress. As a teacher, I see myself as someone who is there to support and nurture the growth and to help the student overcome challenges.
