More about me…

I began my career as a teaching assistant in special educational needs (SEN) in 1997, working in Inner London secondary schools. In 2002 I went on to teach young adults with learning difficulties and disabilites at a charity until I became the project manager there in 2005. The education project went from an Ofsted grade of unsatisfactory to good whilst I was in charge and I set up advocacy, media, volunteering and social enterprise projects for young, disabled people there too. In 2013 my role as project manager was made redundant, due to the funding cuts. As I had also been running my own business teaching yoga, meditation, coaching and mindfulness since 2004 I decided to go full time and expand my practise. Since then I have been working with children, young people and parents in transition to enable them to release any stress or blocks to living their best in every area of life and allowing more focus, harmony and balance into the situation.

My Teaching Philosophy

I want the people I work with to increase their independence, self esteem, self confidence and trust in their own abilities. I work holisitically to bring out the best in my clients: mind, body and soul. Often we are held back by our beliefs (or that of others) and children that are sensitive can struggle with a busy and demanding world, as well as changes that come up at times of transition (be that changing schools, hormones or disruptions in family life or friendships). My goal is to find out what motivates an individual and help clear whatever is getting in the way of them reaching their goal. This may be through goal setting, meditation, visualisation or other theraputic ways of relaxing and releasing stress and worries. When a pupil is relaxed and focussed on the outcome they want they are better able to concentrate, listen, understand and enjoy learning. This makes for a much happier experience, which not only benefits their education but every area of their life. In the same way when parents are able to relax and enjoy their child, school and/or home are no longer a battlefield and parenting becomes so much more fun!

Something sensational about me

I also hold certificates for my work in the following fields:

Yoga, Life Coaching, Reiki, Neuro-Lingustic Programming (NLP), Energetic NLP, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Hypnotherapy, Reflective Repatterning, Magnet therapy, Feng Shui and Meditation.
