About me

Over my ten years as a SENCO in a primary school, including leading the first Specialist Resource Provision in my local area, I have developed a deep passion and a clear vision for truly inclusive education. My experience has taught me that when something is right for a child, it must be done no hesitation, no compromise. This principle has guided my leadership, my advocacy, and my commitment to ensuring that every pupil can access the support, understanding, and inclusive practice they deserve.

Skills & Experience

Teaching Philosophy

Philosophy: Building strong, authentic relationships with pupils and their families sits at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I believe that meaningful connection is the foundation upon which trust, engagement, and progress are built. When children feel understood, valued, and supported, not only by their teacher but by a wider network that includes their family, their capacity to learn expands dramatically. These relationships allow me to understand each child’s unique story, strengths, interests, and challenges enabling a collaborative approach to gain achievement. When children experience success, no matter how small, they begin to internalise a powerful “can‑do” attitude that transforms their approach to learning and life. By combining relational trust, tailored engagement, and carefully structured steps, I help pupils develop not only academically but holistically. This philosophy ensures that every child is supported to grow into a confident, capable individual who recognises their own potential and feels equipped to face challenges with optimism and determination.

Something Sensational About Me

Surprising things about me:

I am a proud parent of two wonderful children, who inspire my commitment to nurturing every child I work with.

I have been a West Ham United fan for over 50 years, carrying loyalty, resilience and passion into every aspect of life.

I was part of the first cricket academy at Kent County Cricket Club, shaping my discipline, teamwork and high‑performance mindset.

I have a lifelong love of sport, competition and personal growth—though, importantly, I don’t like chocolate.
