I have spent more than 15 years helping children who learn, communicate and experience the world differently. My experience includes working with autistic children and children with ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, SEMH needs, sensory processing differences, speech and language needs, emotional dysregulation, school refusal, ARFID, trauma and attachment difficulties. I look beyond a diagnosis to understand what motivates each child, what helps them feel safe and what may be getting in the way of learning.

Since 2015, I have worked as a specialist SEND tutor, helping children develop academic skills, confidence, communication, emotional regulation and independence. I build strong relationships through patience, consistency and a genuine interest in each child.

As a former Inclusion Lead and SENDCo, I have led SEND provision, managed EHCP processes, chaired reviews, worked with professionals and introduced sensory and self-regulation support. This gives me a clear understanding of how individual tutoring fits into a child’s wider education and development.

I use creative, interest-led activities to make learning feel purposeful. I have used mountain biking, 3D printing, computer games, music, art and sensory play to engage reluctant learners and develop literacy, communication and confidence.

I work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals, sharing clear feedback and helping to create a consistent approach. My aim is for every child to feel understood, experience success and develop the confidence to become a more independent learner.
