I have extensive experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting a wide range of individual needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.

Through building positive relationships with children, families, and professionals, I adapt my approach to meet each child's unique needs, helping them develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and a love of learning. I am an experienced teacher who has worked across all primary key stages. I have experience working in a resource provision, supporting learners with a diagnosis of autism and with an EHCP. I am an experienced SENCo and have lots of experience writing EHCP's and reports for outside professionals. I liaise closely with parents, ensuring that the child is always at the centre of any decisions.

My teaching philosophy is centred on creating a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. I am passionate about making learning fun, meaningful, and accessible, believing that children learn best when they are actively engaged and motivated by their experiences. I also believe that children can only truly thrive academically when they feel safe, secure, and emotionally supported. For this reason, I place great importance on building strong, trusting relationships with the children I work with, ensuring they feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

I am patient, approachable, and committed to listening to every child, recognising that each individual has unique strengths, interests, and needs. By fostering open communication and mutual respect, I encourage children to express themselves, take risks in their learning, and develop confidence in their abilities. I strive to create an inclusive environment where all children feel heard, celebrated, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through encouragement, consistency, and a genuine passion for education, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning and help children grow both academically and personally.
