About me
Hello, my name is Georgie, and I am a qualified teacher and specialist SEN tutor with over 20 years of experience supporting children and young people aged 5–16 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
I have extensive experience working with children and young people with autism (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, anxiety, and school avoidance. I have worked across mainstream schools, alternative provisions, and one-to-one settings, supporting learners with needs ranging from complex autism and communication difficulties to young people requiring emotional support and re-engagement with education.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that meaningful learning can only take place when a child feels safe, understood, and valued. I place great importance on building secure, trusting relationships with every young person I work with, taking time to understand their individual strengths, interests, and barriers to learning. Once that relationship is established, children often develop the confidence to communicate, engage, and make meaningful progress both academically and emotionally.
My approach is highly personalised, therapeutic, and strengths-based. I create engaging sessions that are tailored to each child's needs, interests, and EHCP outcomes, often incorporating learning through play, practical experiences, and therapeutic strategies that promote emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and independence alongside academic development.
I am passionate about helping children rediscover a love of learning and supporting families to see their child thrive. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a young person who may have previously struggled with education begin to feel confident, successful, and proud of their achievements.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, walking in nature, and continuing my own professional learning. I believe every child deserves to feel understood and capable, and I feel privileged to support young people on their individual journeys towards success.

Something Sensational About Me
I have a natural ability to connect with children who find education difficult. Through patience, humour, and a therapeutic approach, I help young people feel safe, understood, and successful again. For me, the greatest achievement is seeing a child smile, engage, and begin to believe in themselves as learners.
