I work with students whose difficulty is with the school environment itself, not their ability. Building trust makes the learning stick — PDA & anxiety-led responses to school.

About me
I'm a qualified teacher with over 20 years' experience across mainstream and specialist SEND settings, and History and Humanities have been the constant thread throughout — I've led it at every level and still sit as a Cambridge International Assistant Examiner. Outside teaching, I love dragonflies, my Tibetan Terriers, science fiction and criminal psychology. I'm calm, unflappable and attuned to whatever a session actually needs that day, because building a genuine relationship is what makes the learning stick, not something that gets in its way.

Choose me if…
Your child's difficulty is with the school environment itself, not their ability
You're tired of hearing "won't" when you know it's "can't"
You want a tutor with 20+ years' professional SEND experience, matched by personal experience of the same challenges
Your child is anxious, PDA, OCD or has sensory sensitivities or struggling with a trauma response to school, and needs trust built before learning can happen
Your child is educated away from school (EOTAS, EHE, home tuition) and you want home to stay home
You want a tutor with specialist training and lived experience which goes beyond the basics of autism and ADHD, in aspects of extra needs including ARFID, OCD, Sensory sensitivities, women and girls' autism and issues around gender dysphoria
Something Sensational About Me
Diagnosed with autism in my 40s so I bring real, lived insight to this work. Outside tutoring, I've got two Tibetan Terriers, a soft spot for dragonflies, birdsong and Australian flora and fauna, and I've lived abroad in southern Italy and northern France
