About me

I am a skilled SEN practitioner who has a natural ability to tune in and see individuals in ways others may not. I am observant and adaptvie to situations as they are and enjoy finding ways to get to where we would like to be. My successes in this lie largely in autism, where my creative thinking and reflective practice has helped identify and build bespoke pathways around barriers for learning. This has been especially successful where support has been required for developing attention, engagement and communication skills, equipping individuals with being 'ready to learn'.

Choose me if…

...you recognise that more 'traditional' academic goals or achievements are not the main focus right now, but that developing confidence, engagement, communication and functional skills are key for developing a strong 'learning for life' foundation. These, in turn, will cement a strong baseline for continuing personal pathways for learning.

I am honest and reliable and still work in an SEN school where I continue to develop my practice.

Something Sensational About Me

Something SENsational about me is the relationships I have maintained with families over the years; supporting young people in the beginnings of their educational paths, and then being able to see them blossom in their adult lives too. The SENstational thing about me is ultimately linked to the SENsational outcomes of them which is something that continues to make me smile.
