About me

I am a qualified teacher and SEND tutor with over 25 years’ experience in education, and I am passionate about helping young people develop confidence, curiosity and a positive relationship with learning. I particularly enjoy supporting autistic and neurodivergent young people, including those who may be finding it difficult to access mainstream education or who need a more individualised and creative approach. I am calm, patient and warm, and I believe that getting to know and understand the young person comes before expecting them to learn.

Choose me if…

  • Your young person needs time and trust before they are ready to learn.

  • Your child is autistic, has ADHD or is neurodivergent and would benefit from an individualised approach.

  • Your young person is struggling to access school or has become disengaged from education.

  • Confidence, communication and emotional wellbeing need to come alongside academic learning.

  • Your child responds better to creative, practical or interest-led learning than a traditional classroom approach.

  • You are looking for someone calm, patient and experienced who will listen to your young person and meet them where they are.

  • Your young person is secondary or Post-16 and needs support to rediscover confidence in themselves as a learner.

Something Sensational About Me

I recently travelled to Shanghai in China to work with young people over there helping them with presentation and speaking skills. I loved my time there and got to travel around, explore the food and all the amazing attractions!
