I have known Ms V (as her students call her) for 10 years, first as a colleague and we have since then stayed in touch. We initially worked together in a Special Needs School where she was a highly skilled and specialised SEN teacher, in charge of the most complex and vulnerable children. She is an incredible skilled teacher, always aware of each child’s needs, on whatever level that might be.

Not only have I seen the amazing work she has done with her pupils and children in her surroundings, I have now known her for many years and have had the pleasure of seeing her raise her own child. Despite her daughter’s complex health issues, she has always approached it with confidence and a smile. She has nurtured her daughter who is now a well-adjusted, confident, happy and bright child who has benefitted from mum’s ‘fun teachings’ and still does.

She is an incredible person and amazing teacher! Any child she comes across will be lucky to have her in their lives!

I met Ms V and her daughter at a Home Education event, my daughter instantly took to her and showed an eagerness to engage with her. Her methods and teaching style appealed to both me and my daughter, as our daughter benefits from learning visually, Ms V personalised her tuition to suit my daughter’s needs making it fun and engaging keeping my daughter’s attention which can be difficult at times.
My partner and I are are aware of the importance of education and are more than satisfied with the level of due care and attention shown.
I would highly recommend any parent interested in furthering their children’s education to seek her out! She is an absolutely incredible teacher and her daughter is a testimony to this.

Cynthia is one of those unique teachers with an inherent ability to reach young people with complex needs.
As her former colleague I’ve had the privilege of seeing her differentiate her teaching style, with fluidity, enabling young people to access their individual learning with positive outcomes.
One particular pupil that stands out is a child with severe cognitive disability and Cynthia facilitated his learning by using simple sign language and cued articulation in a fun way resulting in that pupil eventually reading simple books.

Cynthia has been tutoring my autistic son since Year 5. Since starting tutoring with “Miss V” as he calls her, he is always looked forward to his sessions with her. She is a brilliant teacher! She has a great understanding of the complexity and challenges linked to autism. At times, “Miss V” manages to explain concepts in English or Maths with almost disconcerting ease!!! She is very patient, fun and passionate. It clearly shows in her interaction with my son!

Plus, she adapts quickly to new situations and would happily adjust or even, change her whole planning of the week if something quite sudden and important would have happened… She always tries her best to accommodate not just my son’s needs but ours as a family!
This is pretty rare and we are very grateful for this!

My son is now in Year 6 and his attitude towards learning has greatly improved!

I now have learned few tips on how to help my son at home using “Miss V” ‘s style and considerate advices!
