Experience, training and skills

I have been trained to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language. Trained by Comillas University, which is one of the most prestigious Universities in Spain.

I am a qualified Spanish teacher and support children both in primary and secondary school. I have experience teaching the both GCSE (AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE), and A-level. Spanish is my mother tongue. I possess excellent communication skills and flexibility to adjust to different students in different scenarios. Trained in Spain, with eight years of experience as a teacher, of which half have been in the UK.

I consider myself an optimist, sociable, sympathetic, enthusiastic person with leadership skills. While working I possess a great sense of responsibility, perseverance and great organisational skills.

I am an experienced professional, being able to take the responsibility of keeping up students learning pace, having experience of successfully managing students in a classroom. I am comfortable working with children from different social backgrounds. I understand that every student is blessed with different capacities of learning and I am comfortable to provide them with additional support and training so that they are able to master the language.

I am enthusiastic about education and always strive to do the best for my students. I also have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I will make a success of this role.

My Teaching Philosophy

My views on learning styles have been influenced by the work of Howard Gardner, who believes that we have multiple intelligences as a set of abilities, talents or mental skills that all individuals possess to a greater or lesser extent. I feel it is very important to make learning interesting and creative. I really enjoy supporting and helping others.

Choose me if…

…you want to learn Spanish. If you are looking for an experienced native teacher to improve your oral and written skills, and a person who can also organise different activities to provide better insight into the Spanish language and culture. I am also entitled to prepare the students for their Spanish GCSE and A-Levels into the new Curriculum, delivering lessons, assessing the different skills and conducting the Speaking exam. I feel very comfortable with the different exam boards that are established within the UK, being Edexcel the one I have been trained on and have worked more with.
