My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that intrinsic motivation is central for long lasting impact and I always aim at surrounding the learning with the pupils' interests, not as a reward but actual learning. I don't believe that teaching should always be teacher led, it can also be pupil led.

I am an advocate of learning by discovery via practical skills and I always want to generalise what has been learnt in one context to other contexts. I also love scaffolding as it can easily build up the young people's confidence when they achieve their goals with my step by step guidance and coaching.

Choose me if…

You want someone with substantial experience in the fields of education, psychology and executive mind coaching who has worked with a lot of young people and who can easily build rapport with your child bringing the necessary changes so that the new skills taught are transferable and generalised in different contexts and with different people.

Something sensational about me

I have studied Education, Psychology, Leadership and Executive Mind Coaching and I love bringing all of this knowledge into my practice in a developmentally appropriate way. I also work as an Executive Mind Coach for young people and adults with executive function challenges, such as response inhibition, emotional control, planning, prioritisation, organisation, time management, task initiation, goal directed persistence, metacognition, cognitive flexibility. These are the difficulties young people with specific, moderate and severe special needs face and research shows that when you target these, learning and behaviour can be long lasting.
