Experience, training and skills

I am a fun and friendly, highly-experienced teacher who produces results. I am a good communicator and have a thorough understanding of the multiple ways that pupils absorb information. I have SEN teaching experience, currently work in a school in North London, receive ongoing training and professional development, and have a clear enhanced DBS certificate.

I am a firm believer in treating pupils as individuals and managing behaviour through the planning of lessons and the engagement of the learning. I am very passionate about my work and create fun lessons to help children focus and concentrate on their studies. I am a good listener, and I consistently cater my teaching to the interests of the pupils. I have a range of learning methods and I am adept at making learning interesting and enjoyable.

Moreover, I am always observing the various ways in which different pupils learn and including this into my teaching. I have a good sense of humour and a genuine interest in expanding the worlds of pupils. I am a strong believer in using positive reinforcement to develop confidence and a love of learning.

I have prepared pupils for end of year 6 SATS and 11 plus examinations.  This included covering all of the main topics from the English and Maths national curriculum for year 5 and 6.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that engagement is the key to attainment, thus my lessons are always differentiated to the learning need of the pupil. I also believe in utilising the multiple intelligences in my practise.

Fundamental to teaching is the ability to develop positive relationships. It is important to maintain a sincere interest in the holistic development of the child, as well as take opportunities to boost self-esteem.

Choose me if…

– You would like an experienced primary school teacher;
– You are preparing your child for the 7+ and 11+  examinations;
– You feel that your child is not filling their true potential;
– You would like a fun and friendly teacher;
– You would like a teacher that you can trust to bring out your child’s learning capabilities.

Something sensational about me

I am an avid reader and have read over five hundred books. I enjoy mostly politics, history and personal development.

I have a Diploma in metaphysical science which is a branch of philosophy, which has given me a strong understanding of philosophy. This has also given me the ability to counsel and coach.

I enjoy travelling, film, languages and literature.
